STEP 3: I painted the eyes carefully, in many light coats. Also used pencil crayon for details, and a bit more pastel. Sprayed again after with Modge Podge
My first MH Doll mod Excuse me, I have to go to the post office and pick up my Toralei doll. Woooooo
((Check out my new blog for more dolls and tutorials: [link]))
It's not bad. It says on the bottle to wait 15 mins before doing a second coat, which is true but it is the tiniest bit sticky until you let it dry entirely. I left one overnight and it was totally smooth and dry the next day. So it's sticky when wet, but definitly safe to use. It won't damage the head and make it permanently sticky. Also, it says to spray far away and one coat is only a light mist. Followwww those instructions. On the body it was shiny when it was wet, on the head it wasn't. So I overdid it on the head, and it left a little bit of texture. I took it off with nail polish and sealed again lightly and it was fine I just finished Saturn's head and it came out much better.
Woo! Which OC? If I see the fuku maybe I can give you some ideas? I swear craft stores have the most amazing things. The skirts I'm going to be using are actually large pieces of pleated ribbon, so convenient.
My Sailor Wind Angel, actually. I'm hoping to get a shirt to use the pattern from. It is her boots that are gonna kill me (mostly cause I cannot find a pair of Clawdeen's to modify).
For mine I'm going to be using air-dry clay. I find it sooo much easier than modding the shoes. Ya just stick some seran wrap over the feet, and mold right on top You can get it from any art supply or craft stores. For the high boots I'm making them out of cloth, then using the clay just for the soles and heels
I think she looks like Angelina Jolie)))
Thank ya
I gotta ask about the mod podge though, how is it? Does it leave any sticky residue like the Liquidex varnish or is it smooth? o.o
